2 Crocked Pots

Pottery for Life!

How do we do it?

2 Crocked Pots ~ Art Pottery & Artisan Jewelry Studio

5 Wheeler St, Cohocton, NY, 14826

Each pot is wheel thrown by either Roland or Pam.  After it is fired for the first time, Roland studies the bisque to determine what design or motif is best suited for the pot.  He then devotes several hours of meticulous painting to each piece of art pottery.  Roland's designs allow the natural beauty of the clay to serve as a backdrop for his floral, art nouveau, and whimsical patterns.  After he has completed the painting, a clear overglaze is then applied and the pot is fired for the second time, making it a durable piece of art.  As each pot is individually created, there are no duplicates!

For the more traditional shopper, we also offer pottery glazed in a wide variety of colors and hues.  Our glazes are applied by brush, never dipped.

In addition to wheel thrown pottery, Pam has created an extensive line of jewelry.  She begins with stoneware and porcelain focal points she has created and then glazed in a rainbow of colors; she then adds glass and metal components as her heart moves her.  In Pam's extensive line of wearable art, she has created a wide variety of jewelry in whimsical, earthy simple and classic styles.

As part of our committed service to our customers, we provide a certificate of authenticity with all of our art pottery.  If you purchased some of our art pottery, or received some without an accompanying certificate, we would be most happy to provide you with one.  Just contact us and we will mail one to you at our expense.
